About UtilX
UtilX is a small collection of free, single-purpose tools for everyday development tasks: formatting JSON, testing regex, building cron schedules, generating passwords, and converting between common formats.
Why it exists
Most days, developers reach for a search engine to solve a five-second problem — "is this JSON valid," "what does this regex match," "what does this cron expression mean" — and land on a page cluttered with pop-ups, forced sign-ups, or tools that silently upload input to a server. UtilX is the opposite: no accounts, no uploads, no tracking of what you paste in. Every tool runs as plain JavaScript in your own browser tab.
How it's funded
This site is supported by display advertising. No user data, pasted input, or generated output is ever collected, stored, or sold — see the Privacy Policy for details.
Who's behind it
UtilX is an independently run, small-scale project. If you spot a bug or have a tool you'd like added, get in touch via the Contact page.
